Ryan Farrow | Original

He's a 16-year-old telepath (plus limited empathy) who's physically mute-- he only 'speaks' telepathically, and he tends to pick up on others' surface thoughts or whatever they happen to be 'thinking out loud' about; on the reverse side, he also tends to let his own thoughts slip, as he's lacking in the control needed to keep everything on lock and draw a firm line between things he means to broadcast and things he doesn't. Ryan's a little shy and awkward by nature and his mutation hasn't helped that much-- he's a friendly guy, but he tends to be a bit hesitant to approach people because, well, talking to someone mentally sometimes weirds them out.

Stuff I'd like: friends in general, obviously. All CR is good CR far as I'm concerned, I'm open to less friendly interactions too! And if anybody wants a dormmate who's basically guaranteed not to ever be too noisy, well, he's perfect for that.

Nathaniel Kranz | Original

Nate is a 28-year-old teacher and trainer (he teaches math here) who essentially gives zero fucks about being professional. He's laid-back, never dresses up, rarely bothers trimming his beard, and while he tries to watch his mouth in front of the younger kids... well, 'tries' is the key word, here. He tends to come off a bit gruff, doesn't talk about his mutation (he's embarrassed about talking to fish, okay), and at the core he's kind of just a giant teddybear. Nate likes kids, generally, and tries to treat them as he would anyone else rather than talking down to his students or anything.

Also his codename is Landshark because he thinks it's badass.

Stuff I'd like: Again, everything is good here-- he's a very easygoing dude and likes to think he takes shit pretty well, so send me your stubborn kiddos and everything.

John/Dulcie

John has been around for two years, going into his third, so it's likely that he knows people who aren't brand new to the school. I think I've played with all youse guys, so you know what he's like, but if not: abrasive and snarky, very likely to call your character out and try to pick a fight, not averse to outright bullying. And using fire. Someone who can keep up with or outpace him in troublemaking and disdain for the world/the school could've become more pleasant acquaintances with him over this time, although friends is unlikely and would be easier and more fun to build through actual CR anyway.

Dulcie is a brand new teacher, carrying English and Physical Training! She's extremely serious and self-motivated, on the strict side, can get lecture-y (not always scolding, sometimes just trying to impart lessons she wishes she got as a teenager), but also has a somewhat dry and self-deprecating sense of humour that can be brought out by the right person and a lot of warmth waiting to be revealed to students who inspire it. All CR will be new, but if you've got ideas, go nuts!

Neku

Neku is pretty new to the school, fairly abrasive (unless I tweak things and end up having him hospitalized for a gunshot wound later because canon), and very much not interested in people. Unfortunately he can pick up on surface thoughts if he focuses so he's likely to use it against your character if he feels like he should. He'll use his telekinesis to throw things at people if he feels threatened, which he will if the talk turns to feelings. Talking about music or graffiti will probably get him to have a decent conversation, though.

... Please bother him, he needs it.

so Meadow McKay is my tiny little 9-year-old OC. i'm still working out the kinks of her but she is usually v. shy but has a funny sense of humor about some things and doesn't try to talk to people much but!! come to her.

or she'll come to you i guess. she's got precognition but has no idea how to harness on to that. it's more involuntary than anything and comes in little blips so i guess if your character lost a pen at some point she'd like randomly turn up and hand it to them and then skitter away. or randomly tell them not to trust the cafeteria tacos, which then turn out to give upset stomachs. feel free to come to me and be like HEY THIS TOTALLY HAPPENED and idk i suck at this.

petre is my oc! He hails from europe so feel free to make fun of his accent or something his family died in a fire from which he survived bc its his secondary power to be resistant to it. His first power is to impel ppl to do what he tells them to by playing with their desires.

Hes pretty incisive, egocentric, has an inappropriate sense of humor and amnesia about most of his life. He makes friends easily but likes to cause some trouble soooo yea. Hes on his second year here so he might already know your character! And probably flirted with them too.

Otoha

Otoha has congenital insensitivity to pain which while technically a mutation is more of a medical condition akin to real world mutants (aka the ones that tend to die horribly early on). So that's one of his powers but he doesn't have regeneration so it causes Problems.

He's also got super speed which makes it a pain in the ass to try to catch him. He doesn't think at super speed but he can flick it on and off at will. He's no motormouth, though. In fact it's hard to get him to say anything at all. ... It's also hard to get him to not want to kill people. Killing is bad, Otoha. Stop that. But he was raised to think it wasn't. Ah, the fun of being raised as a weapon.

He's technically a teacher but he'll probably just be wandering around mostly. Feel free to find your friendly neighborhood crow hobo Otoha staring at you... pretty much anywhere. Unless it's an inappropriate place in which case he does have at least that much of a social skills skillset.
