[ she's looking over at him, smiling a little - though oh he didn't even know her name. she's known for being weird first instead of having a name. that's a bit hurtful. ]

John Allerdyce. Your parents hippies or something?

[ looks down thoughtfully ]

I don't think they were. Does it sound like a hippie?

Meadow? Yeah. Definite hippie name.

[He gives her a cautious look at the past tense, though. How to ask this without being asked back? Is it even possible with a kid, especially one who appears to ask about everything?]

You'd know if your parents were hippies, though. Long hair, peace signs, no bathing?

...oh. [ hippie doesn't sound good. she's definitely going to need to make up a new name or something. she doesn't want to give people another reason to make fun of her. ]

They weren't hippies. [ definitely positive they bathed. ] They just liked the sound of it, I think.

Pyro. [He grins lazily.] Don't look at me, someone else came up with it. It just stuck before I could come up with anything better.

Pyro. Like a pyromaniac. [ she taps her toes together in a minor fidget ] That's funny. I wish I had one.
