INTRO LOG
[[Exactly what it says on the tin! This is just an initial log to sort of get things started and is largely freeform, open to (but not limited to):
-Meetings before classes start
-First day business
-Dormshenanigans meetings
-First classes in progress
-or whatever the heck else you want to do for beginning-of-term things!
There's a CR meme up now for some initial planning if you like, or feel free to just hop in here.]]

I had to try not to, most of mine got finished under the covers when I was supposed to be sleeping. This one made it really hard, though.
[Closer to, it's obvious this copy has been well-loved by its worn spine and faded covers. It's not his first read of it, and it didn't come to him new, either.]

If you're cutting a class to reread it, I'm afraid you've found a teacher who, while she can understand, won't be understanding. There will still be a detention for that.

No, no, it's an off-period, I promise-- it's just quieter out here. Too much going on inside.

You don't have to whisper or anything.

[No, wait.]
Is this more comfortable for you? [Telepathy is one of the most complex mutations she's heard of yet, with many different focusses and forms, so she should be asking questions rather than making assumptions.]

[Ryan shakes his head, reaching up to touch his fingers to his throat in a brief little gesture.]
Telepathy kind of turned out to be a mute-tation. [And the benefit of it is that in thought, the way it's spelled can be impressed along with the actual words, making the play on them more clear.]
