Petre will doubtlessly read something into it, but there's nothing to read; he's just fond of planting himself under a tree and taking in the sun, something most people probably wouldn't expect of him. The days in Central Park were much more pleasant than the nights, and he almost felt like a normal person (when he still wanted to be one) basking in the sun under a tree during the non-winter months.
