INTRO LOG
[[Exactly what it says on the tin! This is just an initial log to sort of get things started and is largely freeform, open to (but not limited to):
-Meetings before classes start
-First day business
-Dormshenanigans meetings
-First classes in progress
-or whatever the heck else you want to do for beginning-of-term things!
There's a CR meme up now for some initial planning if you like, or feel free to just hop in here.]]

[And for the first time, he actually grins.]
I don't let it stop me from having fun, though.

[He leans back on his elbows, giving the kid a considering look.]
John Allerdyce. Enjoy your first warning, the one about talking to me.
no subject
[He rolls his eyes. He doesn't intend on getting in trouble, but he always just... does.]
no subject
[Cultural sensitivity 101.]

[Never mind.]
They didn't get you all the way from Japan, did they?
no subject
And no, but my parents are immigrants, so they're still traditional.
no subject
[His gaze slides off to the side at the mention of immigrants. He doesn't want to talk about his family, ever, but -]
Yeah. Australia here, on one side, so there was just the slang to figure out. [Neku might notice that he manages to say it without ever verbalizing ownership of his family. He could be talking about anyone without context.]
no subject
[It's not really that hard. He figured most people here didn't have great family situations. This guy seems to have it worse than most.]</small Do people... look, I'm just gonna come straight out and say it - do most people know who can do what here?
no subject
no subject
[Makes sense, sort of.]
What's your policy?
no subject
Everyone knows what I can do. Especially people who piss me off.
no subject
no subject
Not as fun, but you get the idea.
no subject
That's pretty awesome.
[He almost said 'cool' but no. That is the opposite.]

The flame shrinks down again until it's almost pooled in his palm, one curlicue flickering upward and dancing just a touch irregularly.]
There's more you can't see. But I doubt you could describe whatever you've got to me any better than I could describe this. It's just a part of me. [His glance down at the flame is almost possessive.]

Now he's standing up, moving in on Neku in a more challenging way.]
You stay out of my head, and i'll keep the fire to myself. Got it?
no subject
I can't even pick up on anything deep. Just surface stuff that you'd probably say anyway. I don't really care about digging into dreams and fears and all that shit, okay?
no subject

[The snark is strong with this one.]
no subject
[He cocks his head.]
Telekinesis, though, that's not bad. You just make books fall off shelves when you're pissed, or do you actually have some control?
