INTRO LOG
[[Exactly what it says on the tin! This is just an initial log to sort of get things started and is largely freeform, open to (but not limited to):
-Meetings before classes start
-First day business
-Dormshenanigans meetings
-First classes in progress
-or whatever the heck else you want to do for beginning-of-term things!
There's a CR meme up now for some initial planning if you like, or feel free to just hop in here.]]

but oh god. she's in trouble. she's not going to have it and going to get detention and it's going to be dreadful because she can't actually explain this one. she jumps and spins around to face him, hiding the now off-the-door knob behind her back ]
I- [ ....she closes her mouth, seeing who it is. oh goodness gracious. ] Hi. [ you scared the crap out of her ]
no subject
[he wiggles his fingers in a little wave.]
Didn't they tell you about the doorknobs? I thought you were a good girl, McKay.
[he's all for her being bad, though.]
no subject
I'm good. [ uncertainly. probably??? she's debating this doorknob thing. it seemed important when it popped in her head. she pulls it out from behind her back now, as petre is definitely not someone who is going to get her in trouble for it. petre's too fun and kind and really pretty. ...that last one has nothing to do with anything.
she ducks her head again. ]
Don't tell anyone. [ he'd never ]
no subject
Maybe. If you tell me what that's for. You don't look like you need a new lock on your room.
no subject
[ THIS IS NOT GOOD BEHAVIOR. she is so ashamed. she's looking at her feet and making a face. don't ask why. she has no idea why. but it's a good idea? she saw it. that means it's a good idea?
or it totally doesn't. it'll probably come into play at some point. surely. ]
no subject
Why? Payback on someone? Did they make fun of your name again?
no subject
[ after a quick frown, she's shrugging. idk man. predicted it. ]
It just seemed like a good idea.
no subject
That's not an interesting answer.
[make it interesting, you're losing him.]
no subject
she's looking at him and frowning again. she must be so boring. boring's no good. her eyes go to the doorknob then back at him ]
Someone else will get in trouble for it. [ is that more interesting? framing someone else? ]
no subject
[he takes the doorknob into his hand without even asking for permission, turning it in his hand like he's testing it for weight.]
Who's the lucky candidate?
no subject
meadow looks down again, trying to think of someone ]
Hmmm. You can pick who.
no subject
[he brings both hands up to his chest, arching his brows. He really looks like he's talking to a kid - and he sounds like he's good at it, too. He's really just terrible, though.]
Do I really need to say who, though?
[C'mon. Of course John's always going to be his target.
He's smiling conspiratorially.]
no subject
and petre's so nice! people must be overreacting to how troublesome the things are. if there's any real trouble being made john's probably the one that does it. she predicted him burning a couch today, after all. ]
We should get more then. [ more doorknobs ] So it's funnier. [ she wants to be included in this prank war so it has to be better ]
no subject
That's an amazing idea. Lead the way, kiddo.
[let's get someone in trouble!]
I should get you a prize for this, if you do it right.
no subject
[ she beams at him then leads the way to another door so she can steal the handle off it, unscrewing it. this is a good idea. good pranks. it's going to be so funny. ]
What sort of prize?
no subject
What kind of prize do you want?
no subject
Hmn. [ she looks over at him then back at what she's doing, carefully pulling the knob free from the door after taking the screws out ]
A favor.
no subject
[Which means you get points, Meadow. And he fully expects her to come up with something along the lines of holding hands.]
You got it.
'Kay, next.
no subject
[ favors are the best thing to ask for because then she can ask for anything later, pretty much. it's like a reign-check. she's trying to think of something good ....because outright asking for hand holding is so embarrassing! how can she work that into something else?
she hands him the knob before happily moving along again. ]
Some people don't like owing favors, I heard.
no subject
Then they're weak. Me, I'll do anything, as long as it's worth it.
So, you gonna make it worth my while?
no subject
I wouldn't want to waste your time.
no subject
Aw. I wouldn't want that either.
[Is he even being mean? It's hard to tell, but his tone sounds kind enough.]
Thinking about that favor?
no subject
All I can think of is silly. [ sheepishly. she pauses then adds ] And something about slashed tires. [ ????? ]
no subject
Slashed tires. How criminal of you. Unless you want me to go to jail.
no subject
[ muttering it out quickly. if anyone is getting blamed for going into the garage and slashing scott summers' bike tires later, you're looking at the actual culprit. she really needs to stop following this stuff through... ]
You're going to think my favors are stupid right now unless I think of a better one.
